Addiction and Mental Health

Addiction and Mental Health are two distinct categories that sometimes have overlapping dynamics. People who are affected by struggles with addiction and who encounter mental health challenges often find themselves isolated from community.

According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, SAMHSA, 1 in 5 people have a mental illness.  We know that there are many people in our communities already experiencing the effects of mental illness.

It is our desire to bring people together as the family of God.   TMPC is committed to providing a space to dialogue about Addiction and Mental Health, to learn about how to be a community that is inclusive of those encountering these challenges and to be a resource hub for those who want to learn more. We hope that if you or those you love are in need of a place to turn that this information will point you in the right direction.
