This document outlines the calling and role of a deacon as well as information about how the deacons serve at Thompson Memorial. 

 An usher schedule is completed for 2-3 months at a time. Each Deacon should volunteer to usher at least once per month, and should try to usher at both services regularly. 

The Deacons who have signed up for Communion Set-Up are responsible for the set-up and clean-up for both services. Because there are two Deacons signed up for this, you can coordinate how you see fit, and if both individuals need to stay for the duration of both services. Each Deacon should volunteer to set up Communion 1-2 times per year.

This Ministry of Compassion provides meals and practical support to members and families who may be temporarily overwhelmed. The Deacons coordinate
with the individual or families helping ensure that those in need feel
supported, remembered, and connected to the church community during challenging
seasons.
