Thompson Church has been faithfully serving the community here in Bucks County, Pennsylvania for over 200 years. While we are proud of our heritage (learn more here), we are also looking to the future with great hope. Our Long-Range Planning Committee, in collaboration with our congregation, has been working hard to develop a new strategic plan that will serve as an aid in leadership decision-making over the coming years. We are striving to reach a better understanding of how God is calling us to work and to serve in this time and place.
The first phase of this project involved identifying our core values. Through many internal conversations, we have developed five core values that will guide our church life as we move forward.
Five Core Values
- Bible-Based Preaching and Teaching
We provide Scripture-based guidance for Christian living.
- Biblical Hospitality: Welcome All with Warm Fellowship
Our actions and words demonstrate that everyone is a child of God.
- Fellowship and Church Life
We are committed to creating a loving Christian environment.
- Support Local Missions
We fulfill the Gospel of Jesus Christ by serving those in need.
- Caring for Each Other
We are a family that provides unconditional support to each other.
Using our core values as our foundation, we are forming teams to help ensure that all of our programs and initiatives here at Thompson Church are in line with those values.
The Long-Range Planning Committee developed a set of twelve initiatives that reflect our Core Values. Learn more about our Path to the Future.
