“Let the children come to me...for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”

Christian Education for Children and Youth

Our Christian Education classes are designed to help children and youth discover their faith, develop a personal relationship with Jesus, and demonstrate God’s love to the world.  Using Bible-based curriculum, our teachers encourage our students to apply the lessons from God’s Word to their everyday lives. Using age-appropriate activities and a sensitivity to different learning styles, our Christian Education ministry team walks with our children as they grow in faith, engaging in mission, worship, and fellowship.

Opportunities for Youth

Below are some of the general youth programs available at Thompson Church.  To view programs by age range, use the navigation menu above and to the left to select the age of your child.

Students 4 years old through 2nd grade learn about worship with a Bible story and a craft.  Kids start in the worship service with the adults, then are released to Junior Church partway through the service.

Children from Kindergarten through 6th grade meet the second Friday of the month for dinner, a Bible lesson, games, and crafts.

Anyone 5th Grade and older is welcome to join us on the third Saturday of the month for games, fun, and acting.

Each Sunday children 4 years old through 12th grade are invited to participate in classes geared toward their age group.

We love to hear our children and youth make a joyful noise to the Lord. We have a chime choir, bell choirs and vocal choirs to join.

Everyone in 6th-12th grade is invited to come on Sunday evenings each week for youth group. We gather together for games, bible study, snack, and fellowship.

Looking for Christian music to share with your children? Check out these links for songs and/or videos that you can enjoy with your kids at bedtime, in the car, or instead of TV. They range from angelic voices singing classic Bible songs and hymns to videos with music that will encourage the family to get up and move along!
