Adult Education

Keep these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise. Bind them as a sign on your hand, fix them as an emblem on your forehead, and write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
— Deut. 6:6-9

Here at Thompson Memorial we believe that Christian Education does not end with Sunday School, but as followers of Christ we are called to be life-long learners and disciples. Below are some of the opportunities we have for adults who would like to explore their faith, learn more about the Bible, and deepen their understanding of God.

Adult Forum

As followers of Christ, we believe that the study of God's Word is a top priority and so we create opportunities for all ages to continue to grow and develop in their faith. Our Adult Forum meets every Sunday at 9:45am. This fall we are offering Presbyterian Defined which explores Presbyterian history, theology, worship, and tradition. Everyone is welcome to join us on Sunday mornings and bring your questions!

Monday Morning Bible Study Group

Click above for more information about this group of women who meet each Monday at 9:30.  New members are welcome!

Men's Study Group

On the first and third Tuesday of each month, we gather from 9:00 - 10:30am in the Conference Room.  We usually are reading and discussing a Christian book or doing a small group study. If you are interested in join

JUST FOR MEN BIBLE STUDY

On the first Wednesday of each month our group of men meet from 7:00-9:00pm. This terrific group is led by Pastor Stuart Spencer and is open to any man, particularly those who have never studied the Bible before. We even provide you with a Bible! Our study involves discussion, clear life application, and personal sharing as friends.

Small Groups

Many of our small groups spend time in study as well as fellowship.  You can learn more about our Small Group Ministry.  We also want to make it easy for everyone to find a group where they fit in. You can learn more about all of the groups at Thompson Church (including mission and serving groups) by visiting our Group Finder by clicking the button below.
